Viva The band is one of a few professional bands that mostly work at a corporate level in Sydney, however they also provide entertainment for seniors and residential aged care homes

The band originally began playing at aged care homes only once a week for no fee, however the demand was so extensive for their style of entertainment, they eventually decided to charge a small fee and provide extra performances to meet the demand and cover their costs, they have regularly provided entertainment since the year 2000 to over 100 different nursing homes plus war veterans functions, elderly persons at nursing homes and legacy in Sydney

Since the band took on aged care and seniors work, the economical DUO are mostly taken up for this purpose

The viva bands evolved from The Echomen one of Australia's first surf bands from 1963 until 1968, The sounds of Lawrence From 1968 until1980, Viva the band from 1996 to current. The formation leader of these bands has played Guitar for many notable Sydney entertainers including the Bee Gees, The music his bands perform at nursing homes are mostly tunes popularized prior to the rock and roll era

The Viva bands have an extensive history of International performances. They have performed in Vietnam, Thailand, The Philippines, Guam, Japan.In Taiwan in 2004 and 2005 the band performed for a series of concerts and television appearances, the photo depicts Viva the band being welcomed in a street parade in Taichung and later welcomed by the Mayor in television Interviews over a period of 2 weeks in 2004 and 4 weeks in 2005. Viva the band provided many performance to audiences throughout Taiwan, sometimes in excess of 5,000 PAX.
