Viva the Duo are a rare combo located in Sydney, Australia, they perform international and continental music, featuring accordion, guitar and flute in situations often catered for with formal classical violin combinations

The duo has a repertoire of music from UK, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Cuba, Argentine, Brazil and Mexico, plus tunes from the American songbook

The duo has International experiences, having performed across South East Asia including: Thailand, Vietnam, The Philippines, Guam and Japan, plus promotional tours across Europe, including visits to: France, Monaco, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and England. The duo also toured throughout South America including: Argentina, Brazil, Cuba and New Orleans

The result of these tours meant the duo were able to experience the different cultures and enable them to learn to re-produce different styles of music with some authenticity for themselves

The bands touring activities throughout Europe in 2000 and 2010 has given Peter and Marie an opportunity to develop some authenticity with their European music, in particular, Euro style Jazz, French and Spanish music. Their tour of South America in 2014 gave them a deeper understanding of Argentine tango, Brazilian samba, Cuban traditional and Cuban salsa music plus New Orleans jazz styles

The bands are popular internationally, with their CD regularly played overseas, their recording of Minor Swing reached No 1 on the N1M Australian charts and no 6 on the World Charts, they also perform music for radio and TV advertising in the USA, produced by Nick West at Smith and Western Studios
